THE DO’S & DON’TS BEFORE BUYING A HOME

Do keep your credit score steady throughout the home buying process.

Do avoid inquiries on your credit report. 

Don’t open any new credit accounts.

Don’t change jobs. You cannot be on probation. 

Be careful before you consolidate any debt.  

Don’t move your money around. 

Don’t start banking at a new institution.

Avoid buying a car.   

Don’t buy furniture or household goods on credit.

Avoid making large deposits into your bank account.

Don’t spend the money you were going to use on closing costs.

 Avoid being a co-signer for anyone.

 Don’t overextend yourself.
